I have been raised with thoughts that, True charity should stem from genuine compassion and a desire to help others, rather than from a desire for personal gain or popularity.
I was surprised to see a grand cultural event in a posh residential society with extravagant showcases with lavish decorations, wearing specially designed outfits, and posting pictures of the event. This was appreciated as an effort to retain India Culture. Recently, a Voter ID registration drive was conducted by hashtagGen X of the same society with specially designedTshirts, Banners, hashtagStandees, Photoshoots, and pressreleases
.
What kind of bench-marking is our GenX setting for FutureGenerations? Looks like GenZ can influence Gen X for publicity and showcasing.
When charity is performed with the primary intention of gaining popularity or enhancing one’s image, it can diminish the authenticity and sincerity of the act.
The essence of charity lies in selflessness and empathy, where the focus is on addressing the needs of others without expecting anything in return. It’s about positively impacting the lives of those in need and contributing to the well-being of society as a whole.

It’s understandable why showcasing charity or cultural work might be seen as problematic, if it’s done solely to set a benchmark or influence others. When acts of charity or cultural contributions are flaunted merely for the sake of gaining recognition or setting a standard for others to follow, it can create a skewed perception of what genuine altruism and cultural engagement should look like.

Recently training on hashtagEffectiveTimeManagement was conducted by me for the managers of a reputed engineering company. I realized that the managers face time management challenges mostly because they don’t involve other employees to resolve issues and don’t want to delegate tasks due to the fear of job insecurity, or are not open to take guidance and mentoring from superiors. They also, face challenges in prioritizingtasks when additional responsibilities are given. They are not open to talking to their superiors openly regarding the requirement of additionalhands or guidance and mentoring.

My suggestions are below for anyone facing the above challenges –

1) Delegate and invest saved time in selfdevelopment. This will help you get promotions and you have your successors ready when you move up in ladder.
2)     Reach out to peers and subordinates for support and guidance.
3)     Come out of Selfobsessions.

Weekend calls for outings and shopping. How can be outing be complete with eating out? Being a mother of Gen Z, I have been exploring Fast Food, Italian cuisine, Chinese cuisine, and whatnot.
Last Saturday I was lucky enough to influence kids to try Indian Thali. Surprisingly, kids enjoyed the food also the service of the staff serving food, the way they were requesting, and offer 2nd and 3rd servings. The variety of food was an attempt to balance the tastes of different age groups, and different communities. It’s an amazing concept of India Thali.
Indians are serious about their food and much before dieticians brought the concept of balanced meals. India knew how to incorporate all kinds of items in their platter to make it scrumptious and satisfying. The concept of the Thali has been ingrained in India’s dining traditions since primitive times. The items change depending on the geographical reason and culture.

History and culture behind the Thali –

Unlike the continental or western buffet, Indians believe in being served all at once and a second helping if necessary. The Thali is the product of several age-old aspects of Indian life, the importance of nutritionally balanced meals, variety of flavors, portion control, and aversion to sharing food to limit the spread of communal diseases.

The word thali is derived from ‘thaal’, a circular tray. The earliest thali was made from banana leaves in southern India. Times changed and India shifted to brass, to biodegradable containers to plastic, and to porcelain.

Important thalis of India –

As Indians got curious about the roots of their dietary habits, making a shift from fast foods rejected by health experts; thalis made a comeback. Soon came vegetarian Jain thalis without garlic or onions in Gujarat, Madrasi thalis, and North India thalis with paneer, chole, saag, daal makhani, and a choice of bread and rice. Each state started having its own thali with regional varieties all in one platter.

What are your plans for this weekend? Indian Thali or Fast Food.

The Internet is getting flooded with #onlineprograms of all sorts where one can learn through recorded videos. Once you enroll and take their tests you can also get the certifications. I always wonder, can this kind of #teaching/#training deliver correct #learning?

How can a teaching be complete without interaction and clarification of #doubts? Why do we ignore aspects of #peerlearning?

#Instructor-led trainings provide an avenue for participants to seek #clarifications on their doubts, fostering a more interactive and engaging learning experience. The instant instructor #feedback and #guidance contribute significantly to better comprehension and retention of the material.

Instructor-led trainings offer real-time interaction, personalized guidance, and instant clarifications, creating a dynamic learning environment that fosters engagement and deeper understanding. Unlike #recordedvideos, live sessions allow immediate feedback, collaborative discussions, and tailored support, enhancing the learning experience.

What is your opinion on which method is better for learning with an instructor or without an instructor?

I was discussing with one of the HR manager, regarding Resume Making services provided by few of the consulting companies. He expressed his concern that the skills are exaggerated as per the suggestions of the Vendor and hence most of such resume get rejected in interview. He expressed it as waste of time for everyone.

While me being myself in Business of Customization of Resume feels that Customization of resume need of the hour. Especially your resume should be #AI / #ATS friendly. We are supporting customization of resume with the intention of capturing correcting the key words as per the JD. And not adding skillset which is not acquired by the candidate.

Why Customization of resume ?

1. Relevance: Tailoring your resume makes it clear to the employer that you possess the specific skills and experiences they are seeking, increasing your relevance as a candidate.

2. First Impression: Recruiters often have limited time to review each resume. Highlighting key job requirements in your resume creates a positive first impression, increasing the likelihood of being shortlisted.

3. ATS Optimization: Many companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to screen resumes. Customizing your resume with relevant keywords from the job description improves the chances of passing through these systems.

4. Demonstrates Fit: A tailored resume demonstrates your understanding of the role and shows how your background aligns with the company’s needs. It helps paint a clear picture of how you are a good fit for the position.

5. Competitive Edge: In a competitive job market, showcasing how you meet specific job requirements sets you apart from other applicants. It positions you as a candidate who has the right skills and experiences to excel in the role.

6. Increased Interview Chances: Employers are more likely to invite candidates for interviews if they see a direct correlation between the job requirements and the candidate’s qualifications. A tailored resume increases your chances of reaching the interview stage.

Employer Branding – PAY PAL Way !!!

PayPal‘s employer branding focuses on promoting a positive work culture, emphasizing innovation, diversity, and inclusion. They highlight career development opportunities, employeebenefits, and the company’s commitment to making a positive impact. Consistent communication through various channels, showcasing employee success stories, and participating in industry events contribute to PayPal’s strongemployerbrand.

Promoting awareness around EqualPayDay is crucial, and it’s commendable when companies actively address these issues. If PayPal is taking steps to acknowledge and support initiatives promoting gender equality, it aligns with broader efforts to create a fair and inclusive workplace. Supporting women who are making a difference in this regard can contribute positively to the company’s image and foster a more equitable work environment.

“Harmony in Ambition: Navigating Career Success with relationships”

Recently, I got a chance to meet the #newgenerationManagers from High profile #MBA College. While driving back home, I was bothered with the thought of; are we mistaking Career as life? Is Position / Job / Salary / Car / Bank Balance, the only scale to measure life?

#Joysoflife like spending time with family / kids / parents are of no more importance.

Are we moving towards #westernculture?

The prioritization of career over other aspects of life is a trend observed in contemporary society. Striking a balance between career ambitions and personal well-being is an ongoing challenge for many. The perception of equating career with life is indeed a common trend in contemporary society. Factors such as societal expectations, professional ambitions, and the pursuit of financial stability often contribute to this perspective. However, it’s crucial to recognize that life encompasses a broader spectrum of experiences, including personal relationships, self-care, and overall well-being. Encouraging a holistic approach that values both career and personal aspects can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

The importance placed on money and pay packages in today’s generation can be attributed to various factors, including economic pressures, cost of living, and individual aspirations. In a competitive job market, financial stability often becomes a significant consideration.

The choice of whether or not to have children is a personal decision that varies across individuals and cultures. In some societies, including Western countries, there is a trend towards couples choosing to have fewer or no children for various reasons such as career focus.

In India too new generation professionals are struggling to balance between career and life are thought-provoking. It’s indeed crucial to recognize the importance of relationships, family, and personal well-being amidst career pursuits. Striking a balance that aligns with personal values and priorities is key. I Wishing you and others a fulfilling New Year focused on life’s meaningful aspects.

#Happynewyear

COVID 19 synonym of LOCKDOWN. The thought of it still scares me. There are numerous negative experiences we can talk about, but there are also good experiences we went through.

•  We realized the importance of family; the pain human go through; the difficulty in sourcing things for survival.

•  We as a family sat together for having food; played games; had long chats; together kept the house clean; learnt cooking, spent time on our indoor hobbies like painting, crafting, cooking, blogging, etc.

•  We learnt to manage everything online, be it classes, meetings, work, business, etc.

I too started sketching after 25 long years during the 2nd lock down and I continue to do it even today., Post COVID, as we sail through the daily global economic fluctuations, It gives immense satisfaction that I found time to ready my painting.

“Are you guys living your hobbies like the way i do?”
